History, Mission, Vision and Goals of the University

History: Universidad Intermericana, A. C. was founded in 1985 and opened its door in 1986 to 57 students offering the preparatory school and 4 undergraduate programs. In the following years, its academic program was cosolidated by enlarging the Engineering, Business and Economics Sciences and Social Sciences areas, and later offering new programs in Arts and Design, Languages and Graduate Programs.; Nowadays the Universidad Interamericana is located in the historical downtown Puebla (in front of the Paseo Bravo) with its campus distributed in 3 buildings while the new campus goes into construction.

The Universidad Interamericana, A. C., is a mexican institution with an interamerican and international mentaly that has the following:

Mission:: To prepare qualified, creative and entrepreneur professionals with a high sense of values, with vision of the reality and the future, and compromised with humankind and society.
Vision:: The Universidad Interamericana, A.C., will be one of the most Prestigeons Educational Institutions, nationally and internationally because of the quality and future projection of its academic programs and the professional excellence of her graduates.
Goals:: To be part of the group of the best five Universities in Mexico by the year 2000.; Being one of the best universities in Latin America by the year 2005, because of its national and inter american and international approach.

The Universidad Interamericana, A. C., responds to the need of preparing leaders in their professional especialty with wide vision required to manage the competitive enterprises and institutions in nowadays international environment based on:

Preparatory School

Preparatory School

The Universidad Interamericana, A. C., agreeing with her trilogy -will, creativity and leadership-, offers an integral and bicultural preparatory school to youngtens with a XXI century vision.

The preparatory school program contains a common course core of four semesters followed by two more semesters with specialties in the areas of Economic and Administration Sciences, Physics and Mathematics, and Humanities.

Functionality in the English language is achieved with especial didactic materials, bibliographies, software, magazines and video tapes.

Therefore, our preparatory school offers in an integrated program what the student would have to study (preparatory school, computing and English) in three different Institutions.
